When I finally found the perfect set of acoustic strings, I was absolutely overjoyed. They were made by a local manufacturer who hand wound them. Hand wound guitar strings are a little bit expensive, but if you find really good ones they are more than worth it. Unfortunately, he doesn’t make the strings anymore, but fortunately I stockpiled enough for several years to come. I practice using Martin strings still, but I have my special strings waiting in a case for shows. By saving them and using them sparingly, I should be able to make them last for as long as I \need them. By that point, maybe I will have bought a better guitar.

I have written this article to show you to add ring tones to your Blackberry phone as well showing you a little bit about its customization. Assigning either an ADPCM or MP3 ringtone files to your Blackberry all depends on if you have a Blackberry 7100 or 8700 series phone. Downloading MP3 ringtones into your Blackberry is definitely the better choice of the two as they sound so much better. The quality and clarity of your
Blackberry’s ring tones will be far superior. MIDI polyphonic ring tones are another really nice sounding file format supported by both the 7100 and 8700 series mobile phones.

George Harrison died of brain cancer on November 29, 2001. One year later the memorial concert for this great musician was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. It is only fitting that this was the place as Harrison was 100% English from the top of his head to the tips of his magical guitar fingers. Many feel he was the overlooked Beatle. Everything was about John and Paul. But most critics feel that George Harrison was the heart and soul of the Beatle’s guitar sound which has since be copied by so many artists. you can view Beatles video clips online too.

Some people are talented enough to teach themselves to play an instrument like the piano. Those gifted musicians usually can teach themselves without the use of instruction books. Others, especially younger people, need piano books to grasp the technique required to learn how to play.
Instructional materials for learning the instrument come in a variety of styles, levels and formats. Typically if you are taking lessons, a teacher may recommend specific piano books. Using the recommended materials may become monotonous, depending on what kind of music you want to learn. Given a flexible teacher or self-teaching environment, books available can range from classical to modern pieces, technique, and workbooks, all with varying levels of difficulty. The choice is yours.

Having an individual style ensures rock icon status, making guitar music instantly recognizable as the work of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Brian May of Queen or Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Their personal style is as unique as a fingerprint and their technique has been honed to perfection. Some guitarists are flamboyant on stage, such as Hendrix who played with his teeth sometimes and set his guitar on fire. Pete Townsend of The Who was prone to smashing his guitars against the amplifier.

Last weekend my son came home for a visit from college. He asked if I would help him with a project for one of his classes. For one of his general education courses he needed to take a class in music appreciation. Each person in the class was to bring a collection of songs from a group or artist that was popular in their parent’s era. He signed up to bring a collection of Beatles songs. I made him promise that he would point out to the class that his father is much older than I am and that the collections of Beatles songs were from his music library. Having set these parameters we began looking through the old albums that my husband and I still keep.
