One of the finest audiobook to own, the 6 hours long Murder on the Orient Express will captivate and fascinate you. From the very beginning of the book you are hooked. The murder happens early in the story. Thus the book is a “page turner” from the start. Hercule Poirot, the detective, is thrown into the crime with the duty to solve the muder. The thriller was made into an iconic film in 1974 starring a host of instantly recognizable faces, including Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, Sean Connery, and Ingrid Bergman. She won an Oscar for her performance.
Poirot has to investigate and interrogates every member aboard the Orient Express The ending of the intrigue is wonderful, with a surprise no one would have guessed from the beginning. Fourteen passengers and Hercule Poirot on a train, stuck in a blizzard in a mountain pass on the way from Cairo to Calais.
Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express was first published on 1934. It was at that time an entirely new take on the locked room mystery. The narration by David Suchet is a fantastic performance. Listen to a free sample here.

Thank God and anyone else responsible for the multiple television stations and the choices they afford today. When I was a kid, at least a hundred years ago, it seems, considering the lack of technological options, we had three television stations. You know the ones: ABC, NBC, and CBS. We had only a few channels to click on the dial—no, no remote, no buttons, we had a dial that we spun like a coveted safe dial, waiting for just the right click to tune us into a clear enough picture to watch. We had the television stations that you could click on, sure, but you would get a big black line about a third of the width of the screen (which was limited to 6, 8, or 10 inches, by the way…no plasma, no HD)…a line that went down the center of the picture like a censor’s marker might.

TV Robot reports that Flava Flav is kicking some tv bootie!
A survey of viewing habits reveals the finale of Flavor of Love was one of the “highest rated in Vh1 history.” And an informal sweep over the fan sites shows that despite her histrionic appeal, New York was so not right for the man who prefers peace over explosive attitudes and actions. So what the critics think might just have to take a second-row seat to what the fans believe and feel.
