My cousin Jane has been a great fan of Amy Winehouse. She has a bunch of CD’s on her favorite singer. She wanted to know more about her singer, her early upbringing, her family and so forth. I told her that I knew some websites that had ample information on her favorite singer. http://www.chickipedia.com/amy-winehouse/ is one popular website that had a lot of information on Amy Winehouse. Needless to say, my cousin was thrilled about this and thanked me for providing information on her favorite singer.

It was pretty ambient and meant to set a frightening and alien mood, but somehow it was even more powerful when it was by itself. If I had been watching the movie at the time, I doubt I would have really registered it very much. I would’ve just watched the movie as a whole. But listening to it on its own, I can truly understand its artistry.
After listening to that, I went online and looked up a list of movie soundtracks. I discovered that there was a lot of variety in the type of music used in movies. Usually, it comes in one of two varieties. Some movies use actual songs peppered with incidental moments as their soundtracks. In other movies, the soundtrack is more of a score.

Talented Pop artist Celine Dion
has released her latest CD on the Epic recording label, entitled New Day Has Come.
Celine Dion has been a super star in the Pop genre for quite a while now and New Day Has Come is an excellent illustration as to why.
One of the nicer things about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Pop isn’t your favorite style you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.

Popular Music Directory
Popular music is music belonging to any of a number of musical styles that are accessible to the general public and are disseminated by one or more of the mass media. It stands in contrast to art music,[ which historically was the music of the elite and upper strata of society, and traditional music which was disseminated orally. It is sometimes abbreviated to pop music, although pop music is more often taken as meaning the genre of pop, rather than popular music as a whole.

It seems that the western Iowa tourism region lines up almost exactly with the region where most of the music in Iowa is recorded. This area of the state is full of local talent and there are many in home recording studios here. The tourism board did a survey of the artists in the area and put out a pamphlet showing where tourists could go to see performances live along with where to go to learn more about the recording industry in Iowa. It seems many of the artists in the area were not aware of other artists there and with this new information many have gotten together to collaborate on different projects. Many have even started putting out duet CDs recorded in the basement studio. These CDs are starting to show up for sale in local establishments. As the sales for these increase so does the demand for the artists to perform an the local venues. This is spurring quite an increase in the appreciation of not only music, but all of the performing arts in the area. This place is getting to be the hot spot of the state to go to hear all kinds of music from country western to hip hop.

According to the Missouri Tourist Guide, the southern part of the state is chock full of small recording studios. Branson is especially rich in these small gems, probably because of all the country western recording stars there. These jewels produce some of the best music I’ve heard. There are mostly local artists who don’t get much advertising so they are never going to become famous, but they produce their own CDs here and you can purchase many of them right at the studio. There is no great quantity made, but the prices are very reasonable. These people want to get their music out into the public more than they want to make money. Usually the cost just reflects the cost to produce the CD and they can go quite cheep. In fact, if you find the right artist in the right place with the right frame of mind, sometimes it’s free. You get some music that none of your friends will have and just because these people aren’t famous doesn’t mean that there is any lack of quality. Of course dealing at this level you can get some real pigs too, so watch yourself. Make sure you hear at least a little bit of the CD before you decide on what you want to purchase.

There are so many great artists out there, across all kinds of genres. Every once in a while there is a band or artist that becomes synonymous with a certain city or area. Its hard not to think of Jimmy Buffet when Florida Beaches, particularly the Florida Keys, comes to mind. Jack Johnson is the image of Hawaii for his legion of fans.
For me, The Red Hot Chili Peppers have always been the quintessential image and sound of California. As I drove around looking at apartments for rent in Los Angeles, the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the car CD player were a big part of the experience. It was an even dose of Californication and By The Way on that day. The Chili Peppers pay homage to Los Angeles probably as much or more than any artist or band recognizes a single place in their song lyrics. The guys from the Peppers are not just transplants playing the role of LA rockers, these guys are born and raised in LA and alumni of Fairfax High School in West Hollywood.
While my LA days were short-lived, popping in a RHCP disc quickly brings me back to the beauty and excitement of Southern California. It takes a special artist to become such an integral part of the image of a city and the Chili Peppers

Overall, people use the word ‘niche’ to mean:
* Not a mainstream product.
* A product that may be difficult to buy in normal shops.
* A product with a specialist application or special interest to a certain group of people, that make it a desirable purchase item for only that group.
* A product with a reliable and predictable selling power because of its specialist appeal/ necessity to a certain group.

When peer-to-peer networking services and downloading free music hit the Internet, it was as if a school of sharks were in a feeding frenzy, what with the way music lovers were downloading free music mp3’s and free music video’s by the boat loads. I hate to admit it but, during the Napster craze, I was getting my share of free mp3 downloads just like everyone else. I didn’t know better, and the availability of free music was too great to resist. CDs of my favorite music groups that I thought were impossible to find were suddenly right there on my desktop, just waiting to be downloaded for free. It seemed like the perfect subscription music service. You could get totally free music downloads any time you wanted. All you needed was a high-speed connection and a computer and poof! you could get all of the free mp3 music and free music video’s you could handle.

Legendary vocal powerhouse Ann Wilson of Heart fame is set to release her first solo album on September 11. That date, one we will all remember, was not picked accidentally.
Wilson’s new album is intended to send a message about the the current state of things and she shares a lot of her feelings about how things could be improved.
Only one track was written by Wilson herself with all the others being songs originally written and performed by others.
Joining her to record the album are other well-known artists such as Elton John and Alison Krauss and Wilson says she is honored and very grateful for their contributions.
As the release date approaches, the rock news world will likely offer up plenty more information and no shortage of reviews following the album’s release.
Ann, and her sister Nancy enjoyed enormously successful careers leading their band Heart through more than three decades and were responsible for such hits as Magic Man, Barracuda and Alone.

By purchasing the CD’s that have been remastered you can usually get 2 or even 3 vinyl records replaced for the price it would cost to have 1 vinyl album converted. This allows you to save a lot of money and still have the music in a format that is used on a much wider scale now.
