Experience the Thrill of the City’s Celebrated Museums

June 3rd, 2008

The Capital has in many opinions several of the most paramount museums on the planet in reality it has tens of hundreds of museums and shows both large and tiny. There are tons to select from despite this for obvious reasons particular are more suited than others. A number of the most trendiest museums to take a look at today are the British Museum, Natural History and Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Imperial War Museum & the National Maritime Museum.

The British Museum has lately opened once more with a well needed revamp & is commonly talked as being the greatest museum in the entire world where over four thousand year old Egyptian Kings have a more demanding life after death than they considered. Located in the Centre of the City this is without a question one of the leading museums in The City to go to see. There are heaps of magnificent collections and galleries to discover, some that contain the reading room & the brand new African collection, which is the world’s biggest and greatest in terms of variety & quality with more than two-hundred thousand objects.

The Natural History and Science Museums are suitable for either youngsters & grown-ups. The Natural History Museum building is marvellous any dinosaur enthusiast will certainly adore getting lost in the total history that accompanies this unique museum.

The Science Museum is astonishing, very fast in relation of when breakthroughs are discovered. There are a selection of scientists on site performing genuine science research that you can be a subject of if you desire. There are bags of electrifying hands on things to do for both adolescents & adults.

The Victoria and Albert museum also more typically recognised as the V&A is a vast museum packed to the top with customs. It is worth a visit for the cast digs alone. The museum itself is free to go in & is the world’s main decorative and arts & design museum. The Imperial War Museum looks a lot at the experience of the imperial world war rather than its prosecution. Some great demonstrations like that of the “The Blitz” & “The Holocaust” are enormously affecting. Visit the Time Out site for all the latest info on London’s Museums and Attractions.

Explore the UK Outdoor Festivals

May 23rd, 2008

There are billions more to Great Britain music festivals this summer that The Great Escape. From rock by the seaside at Wakestock to folk and acoustic sounds at Cambridge, British Isles festivals vibe is in tremendous health. Tickets for old favourites like Love Music Hate Racism and Festival without Fields continue to go like hot cakes, & with Usher on the Isle of Wight, Michael Jackson at Love Music Hate Racism & Jay-Z at Glastonbury the the UK’s festivals are appealing to a larger demographic range than ever before. Time Out offer the very best Summer Festivals tickets online.

What do folk wish from a music festival? Is it pleasant dance music so festival goers can have fun all night, ear ringing heavy metal music for serious moshing or some astonishing soft folk music while you bask in the sun? What’s farther vital really is the type of surroundings that one are seeking for, the artists & the facilities, all of which at different festivals vary a lot. The principal music festivals gets into swing usually at the end of March beginning of May they happen up and down the British countryside so there are always going to be a great festival that is nearby to festival lovers. There are not really ever any complaints as festival hunters of course are going to select a stunning festival that matches festival hunters and what people are seeking for.

The 1 st time festival goers attend a superb festival from the very minute festival hunters walk in the grounds to set up your tent accommodation you can often feel this fabulous buzz. Festivals usually seem to get funnier year after year. The only disadvantage that appears to get discussed year after year are the massive cost and price of food and drink then again this cant be helped. Folk are no allowed to take any of your own kebabs or beer onto the festival grounds but one are allowed to carry it into your campsite so it makes sense to eat and drink all you can before stepping into the festival grounds this way folk should be able to stop from spending hundreds of money What makes a fine festival great is for obvious reasons the the super weather, the incredible atmosphere the bands and the fierce memories that festival hunters are bound to make along the way.

Aerosmith - Hyde Park

June 25th, 2007

The sun may not have been shining at Hyde Park yesterday, but Aerosmith still played a pretty hot set. As ever Steven Tyler was centre stage, but the rest of Aerosmith can play a bit too and it’s difficult to upstage Joe Perry anyway. I was going to say that the set was made up of mainly older songs, but when you consider the last Aerosmith studio album of their own songs was back in 2001 perhaps that’s not surprising. Anyway who needs new songs when you have a back catalogue the size of Aerosmith’s and so many songs to choose from. The set time was around one hour and twenty five minutes so in many ways it is more a case of what gets left out rather than what gets put in. For a more detailed account of the show try the gig review from Where’s My Groupie: Aerosmith Hyde Park

Velvet Revolver Review - Hammersmith Apollo

June 6th, 2007

Last night I popped along to a hot and sweaty Hammersmith Apollo to see Velvet Revolver. The boys were on fire as they ran through a slick set based mainly on their first album, Contraband. They also used the show to play a couple of new numbers from the forthcoming Libertad CD.

What can I say about them? Slash is Slash so we were assured of the usual red hot licks to really set the audience buzzing. Scott Weiland is an excellent front man. Plenty of energy, with the audience in the palm of his hand. There are not too many quality hard rocking bands around at the moment, so Velvet Revolver are a bit of a treat if this is for you.

For a second opinion take a look at the Where’s My Groupie Velvet Revolver Review - Hammersmith Apollo

Think I will be picking up a copy of Libertad as soon as it hits the shops.

Iriver MP3 Player Buyer’s Guide

April 25th, 2007

I had heard a little bit about iriver MP3 players before, but not to the extent that I’d heard about iPods. So I couldn’t just go right out and grab the first iriver MP3 player I came across. I wanted to check out other brands too in order to make sure I was getting the best device for my money. I asked around, but most of my friends had iPods, so they weren’t much help. I then went into a local electronics store to look at the iriver MP3 players they had in stock and to ask one of the employees about the products. If you’ve ever tried getting any informed answers from a store clerk, then you can probably guess how my fact-finding mission went.
