Motion City Soundtrack Biography

Motion City Soundtrack is an American pop punk band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. They have released two albums, both on Epitaph Records. Their third full-length album entitled Even if it Kills Me, is due to be released September 18, 2007. Currently, the band is enjoying international recognition, with strong fan-bases in places like Britain, Canada, Japan, and Australia. They performed at The Bamboozle in 2007 under the name ‘The Great American Freedom Machine.’

Motion City Soundtrack formed in Minnesota in 1997. They released a number of EPs and gained a sizable following before recording their first full-length album, I Am the Movie.

Joe Cocker is an English rock and blues singer. He is rated 97 on Rolling Stones 100 Greatest Singers list. In the 1960s one of his main influences was Ray Charles. Joe played various venues but the one that really accelerated his singing career was when he and the Grease Band played at the original Woodstock Festival in August 1969 in New York. When he sang the song "With a Little Help from my Friends" at Woodstock the crowd seemed to adopt it as their anthem.
