Murder on Audio

August 19th, 2007

One of the finest audiobook to own, the 6 hours long Murder on the Orient Express will captivate and fascinate you. From the very beginning of the book you are hooked. The murder happens early in the story. Thus the book is a “page turner” from the start. Hercule Poirot, the detective, is thrown into the crime with the duty to solve the muder. The thriller was made into an iconic film in 1974 starring a host of instantly recognizable faces, including Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, Sean Connery, and Ingrid Bergman. She won an Oscar for her performance.
Poirot has to investigate and interrogates every member aboard the Orient Express The ending of the intrigue is wonderful, with a surprise no one would have guessed from the beginning. Fourteen passengers and Hercule Poirot on a train, stuck in a blizzard in a mountain pass on the way from Cairo to Calais.

Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express was first published on 1934. It was at that time an entirely new take on the locked room mystery. The narration by David Suchet is a fantastic performance. Listen to a free sample here.
