Spanish Court Ruled That Free Music Downloads Are Legal
After many years of losing court room battles, their problem remains the same as the Internet goes on as usual. Music lovers want to go to unlimited free music downloads sites and share music files, and one way or another they will be able to do this. Several countries have already stated that free music downloads sites and sharing music files is legal. In 2006, a Spanish judge ruled that free music downloads are legal. The Spanish court ruled that there is nothing illegal about downloading music or other files for free from the Internet as long as it is for personal use. In 2007, after the Spanish ruling and others like it, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) decided to walk away from DRM (digital rights management). Music label giants Universal, EMI, and Warner Music Group all agreed to accept DRM-free digital format, leaving only Sony BMG to fight the losing battle. If you want to keep your Unlimited Free Music Downloads legal, make sure you free music downloads are for your personal use. Don’t leave them in your “Shared” computer directory, move them to a directory that only you can access.
