Top guitar lessons site releases 10 DVD guitar tuition product

October 25th, 2007

Many guitar lessons products are written by one teacher, and so tend to have a slightly limited scope of guitar playing styles that are taught. A professional guitarist is very often required to play many different styles of music in order to stay in demand and earn a living.

Even within the confines of a single band and performing songs written by someone else in the band, the guitarist needs a fair amount of diversity in playing style. In one instance, I was required to play a certain finger picking piece and then switch to heavy overdriven rhythm guitar. Now I’ve been playing guitar for way over 30 years, but I’d always focused on lead guitar and rock rhythms,  kind of ignoring the lighter finger picking styles of acoustic guitarists.

To cut a long story short, I got the rhythm guitarist to play it. Embarrassing isn’t it. Learning to play the guitar from more than one teacher and in various styles is probably one of the better things you can do if you want to stay on top of the game.

Top DVD guitar lessons by the makers of leading products like Jamorama, now feature guitar lessons by multiple teachers in different styles.

Quick Tips To Incorporating Basic Polyrhythms Into Your Drum Set Playing Today
What is a polyrhythm? Well, "poly" means "many" and "rhythm" means "rhythm" (duh!), therefore, the word polyrhythm literally means "many rhythms". So, if we want to execute a polyrhythm, that means that we'll be playing multiple rhythms at the same time. Now this could refer to a wide variety of things, for example, any drum set groove that requires more than 2 limbs is technically, by definition, a polyrhythm. This however, is not what is generally meant by the term.

What Is A Time Signature, And What Does It Mean?
When we're learning music there's going to be 3 different problems that we run into. There will be physical problems, which is the stuff we talk about on the pad. There will be mental problems, stuff that you just don't understand. The third is emotional/spiritual problems, things that just don't feel right, or they won't work for you for some reason or another.
